This is a dual voltage dome security camera that accepts both 24V AC and 12V DC power input. This 4-in-1 security camera features a 2MP image sensor to provide 1080P video in HD video formats of either HDCVI, TVI, or AHD. It also has an analog video output so you can use it older analog DVRs or a TV with RCA input. To take advantge of the 1080P video you would need a HDCVI or Tribrid DVR. Every security camera has digital zoom available when used with our security DVR recorders, and is actually useful in HD security cameras with resolutions of 1080P and higher. We say practically useful because when video of low resolution cameras is magnified, it gets pixilated and is of no use in discerning detail like faces or license plates at a distance

WHAT'S THE RESOLUTION?
In conventional analog technology, Television line (TVL) is the the main specification for analog cameras. It indicates how many effective pixels the camera can deliver.
NTSC: 700 TVL = 976(Horizontal) x 494(Vertical) = Approx. 480K pixels
PAL: 700 TVL = 976(Horizontal) x 582(Vertical) = Approx. 570K pixels
Analog technology has been dominated the video broadcasting and surveillance fields for many years. Since the rapid development, analog technology is evolving into digital technology which can offer high definition resolution. The most majority IP cameras can deliver megapixel resolution.
3# Different HD resolution formats
High definition IP cameras have an important role to play in video surveillance applications. They can provide video that is more useful, with more image detail and with wider coverage than standard resolution cameras. Depending on your specific requirement, you can choose different HD formats network cameras. For face recognition and vehicle plate license number recognition etc applications, you may select megapixel network cameras that support up to 1080p+ resolution. To know the size of different HD formats, you can check the following table.
Format Resolution (pixels) Aspect ratio Image scanning
1MP/720P 1280x720 16:9 Progressive
SXGA/960P 1280x960 4:3 Progressive
1.3MP 1280x1024 5:4 Progressive
2MP/1080P 1920x1080 16:9 Progressive
2.3MP 1920x1200 16:10 Progressive
3MP 2048x1536 4:3 Progressive
4MP 2592x1520 16:9 Progressive
5MP 2560x1960 4:3 Progressive
6MP 3072x2048 3:2 Progressive
